The grounds are open to enjoy during regular Macktown Forest Preserve hours, The buildings are open to visitors, schools, and groups by appointment, and special events are held throughout the year. The Gathering event is a historical presentation where you can experience life as it was in the 1800s with traders and voyagers demonstrating period crafts. Traditional food and beverages.
