    Small yet Impactful Museum
A relatively small museum located on the upper floor of the old city hall building, which also houses the Route 66 Hall of Fame and Museum. This particular museum was established to recognize and honor the US Military veterans from the local central Illinois area. The war museum house a very large collection of uniforms and other items from various wars (ranging from World War 1 to present day). The volunteers that work there are very dedicated and can tell you a lot about the history of the different soldiers. Admission is donation-based.

    Surprisingly Moving and Interesting
This is a surprisingly interesting attraction that we found and visited because we were at the nearby Route 66 Museum. It is eerie in a way but fascinating to see all the uniforms on the mannequins of the county residents who served. Seeing the gold stars was especially touching. There are also some displays of weapons. We were glad we stumbled upon this place.
