Hiking the trails
Hiked the South Riverview trail above the Middle Fork River. Nothing spectacular. Best part was cutting down on a deer/human path to the stream below to see the water up close and to get a better view. Read where this was the best trail in the park. I would advise trail hikers or walkers to vistit Kennekuk Cove Park just 5 min. north for more scenic views. River Bluff trail there has a good view of the river only minutes from the parking area. Deep cliff with no barrier so keep a hold of any kids who might fall.

Nice stop for a quick hike
We enjoyed our wintery walk. Saw lots of wildlife. The carvings in Spooky Hollow were a fun addition. 3 stars because there were no maps - even the helpful ranger couldn't find any to replenish the map box. Several roads were closed in the park when we were there limiting our access to trailheads. Seems like it has a lot of potential for later spring and summer recreation.
