    A Summertime Favorite
Things to remember about Splash Station: * It's a small water park. If you're expecting Noah's Ark, Racing Rapids, Raging Waves, or Hurricane Harbor this isn't the place for you. * Teenager's will probably be bored. See above. * Children 10 and under will love it! Having said that, we've held season passes for several years and I have never seen a day when the water was dirty. It's true the water in the lazy river is sometimes pretty cold, but it sure feels good on a hot day. The locker rooms aren't usually dirty. I think it just appears that way to some because the walls and floors are concrete, which appears even darker when wet. They're just not bright and shiny like a tiled shower room would be. Sure, people sometimes leave their shampoo bottles in the shower, and I've seen bits of tissue on the floor but the toilets have never been clogged when we visited. Will concede that sometimes young children forget to flush! And I've noticed this season it's time to replace the shower curtains. The food at the concession is typical concession food. I suppose the prices are reasonable but it adds up fast if you have several people in your group. There is a picnic area across the driveway, though, and if we're going for the day we pack a lunch. The only thing you can bring into the park is bottled water, baby formula/milk and baby food. There are tons of lifeguards on duty at all times and they are well-trained and responsible young people. They do a good job. Just don't expect them to babysit your children. And teach your kids to listen to them. Children have to be at least 48" tall to use the big water slides, except for the body slide, unless they can pass a swim test. They do measure every time. The can't make exceptions, so please don't ask. Splash Station is accessible and has a lift. Kids under the age of three must wear facility approved waterproof swim pants. Doesn't matter if they're potty trained. $6 at the ticket booth. They are re-useable so you only need to buy them once. USCG Approved life jackets are available at no charge. Splash Station is a nice, reasonably priced, family friendly water park. We think it's a great place to spend these hot summer afternoons.

    Know before you go!
This place is a really nice facility that is rather good size. You can bring in water bottles but they must be clear, no exceptions. You can't bring in food. They do have concession stands there that are reasonably priced. They have plenty of lifeguards and they are not slackers. The water temperature was decent. The lazy river is nice. There are plenty of intertubes to use. The large water slide is the most fun for kids of all ages. There's a large twisty slide that also is fun. We got a Groupon so the price for the day was so reasonable. The only reason I did not give it five stars was because the locker rooms are dirty. So, plan to wear sandals. You might consider bringing a tub of wipes to wipe down the toilet. Personally, I wouldn't shower in there, nor would I leave my belongings in there. You can bring a padlock, which I would highly recommend, if you aren't going to be by your bag for long periods of time. There are plenty of lounge chairs and even large umbrellas that offer shade with about 8 lounge chairs under that umbrella. My advice would be to get there about 15 minutes before it opens to get your first choice of lounge chairs in an area that would work for you. One other thing you might want to consider is that day camps use this quite often. So, you might consider not coming till 3:30 when a large amount of the kids would be gone.
