Just a very cool place from antiques to oddities to the owners! You can even reserve tea parties in booths at the front or in the library! There is a lot of everything imaginable!

Hidden gem
We live in adjacent Lake Carroll (Lanark IL) and wandered in while awaiting dinner. What a surprise?! Antiques galore, several classic autos, Lionel trains, classic to rare vinyl records ( I got Linda Ronstadt double still in plastic). Husband is an auto buff connected with Mt Carroll auto shows. She wears the mad hatter red hat! A trip worth making. Nice people. My wife has found countless rare collectibles. Just go!

Keep an eye out for the Mad Hatter!!
Ideas and Designs is an antique shop that doesn't just sell antiques. There is a library for reading with comfy chairs and plenty of light, But, don't forget to pick up a cup of tea in the Mad Hatter Tea Room to sip on while you enjoy your book. Len and Linda are the sweetest people with a tremendous eye for design. They have every corner jam packed with neat finds and antiques, even stocking one of the best fabric departments I have ever seen. Visit these fine people and take home your new antique treasure!
