Great
Sitting in Chicago’s affluent Winnetka suburb is a Georgian-style red-brick house, more famously known as the ‘Home Alone House’. Built in the 1920s, the house served as the main set of the iconic 1990 holiday movie. It draws many eager fans, hoping to snap a picture or reenact their favorite scenes in front of the house. It's located in a residential neighborhood though, so it's best not to linger for too long. Visit the Home Alone House plus filming sites for other iconic movies like 'The Breakfast Club' and 'The Break-Up' on a movie sites tour of the Chicago suburbs. – Tripadvisor

Quick Stop
We live in the area and it’s always fun to drive or walk by and reminisce. Worth a quick pass! The current owners don’t seem like such sticklers about a quick photo as other owners have been. Just be courteous as it is someone’s residence and the neighborhood wants to have some semblance of normalcy.

Selfie Spot but Leave the Homeowners....Alone
This is a privately owned home so we didn't want to bug the owners. We went on a whim on a December night, and the kids were delighted. Took a quick Kevin McAllister selfie and jumped back in the car. There's really no legal place to park out front so act fast. Not worth a special trip, but if you're in the area, why not.
