Time For A Walk
This is favorite place for “walkies” with mans best friend..... There are pavilions for group gatherings with large picnic tables and permanent bbq grills for your charcoal feast. Pathways are paved through the woods and nicely kept. There are areas for either a short or long walk and parking is plentiful. Always a tail-wagging time.

Great view
I walk or bike here often. The two parking lots are set back from the road, so you hear no traffic. There are two picnic pavilions. The furthest one has a great view of the open prairie. The paved trail is well maintained. It meandered through the prairie and into the woods to Hickory Creek and eventually to the Township offices on Rt. 30. It's beautiful in any season.

I love the woods
I have been going to the woods since I was a boy in elementary school. I have been going to these woods since moving to Frankfort 36 years ago. It is my place to relax and revitalize. Thank goodness we have a Forest Preserve or everything would be fast food places and mattress stores!
