I ran the 50 mile race on the canal

I did the Hennepin Canal 50 mile race. It is all on the canal. Well run event. The canal was very pretty. A few road crossing and bridges but it was so cool to see the wildlife. Saw all kinds of animals including some very cool birds.

    walk or kayak
    This is one of the real jewels of the area. Kayaking has become popular; we saw numerous people enjoying the canal on a kayak, but I just love taking a long walk along it.

    Day Trip to take Pictures
    The Hennepin Canal Parkway is an interesting place, very scenic, has a couple of old iron bridges going over the canal. When i was there taking pictures, saw a large white egret and many other birds. Love taking pictures there.
