Beautiful Lighthouse with Lovely Beach
The lighthouse is closed for the winter October through May, but you can still walk the grounds and down to the beach. The sight was spectacular with icicles hand from the trees and breakwater. Very picturesque. When teh lighthouse is open (Jun-Sep) the admission is only $ 6.00 (they do not accept Credit cards for admission).

Beautiful old lighthouse. Worth a stop if in the area.
Since we were working our way down from the Chicago Botanic Garden and down to the Baha’i House of Worship it made sense to stop here. Only a 4 minute drive from the Baha’i House of Worship it would be a shame not to take a peek. It’s a stunningly beautiful lighthouse next to a park with a parking lot. We were able to take a few pix and enjoy the peace and serenity of the area near Lake Michigan. We followed the route along the lake from the Chicago Botanic Garden to finally the Grosse Pointe Lighthouse which was much more scenic.

Nice place to visit
The Grosse Point Lighthouse has both interesting gardens/grounds to wander around as well as art collection inside. The lighthouse over looks the lake and offers a great view of lake, especially at sunrise. The gardens have numerous spring flowers.
