Never thought spoons could be so interesting, but....
Located at the corner of Hill & Main in the heart of historic downtown Galena, Illinois, this quant owner- and artist-operated shop includes hand carved wood spoons (in-store carving demonstrations daily) handcrafted spatulas and assorted woodenware, handcrafted kitchen boards (charcutier, cheese, bread, serving, and cutting), hand turned wood bowls, home decor, and a fine selection of specialty foods. It's worth taking a few short steps off Main to enjoy this gem!

An Interesting find.
Galena Spoon Company was a great find. A quaint retail/wood carver's space tucked away on a side street off the main street in downtown Galena. If you like artisanal, functional wood craft, Galena Spoon Company is a must see. Paul was very approachable and informative of his hand carved wooden utensils, cutting boards, and other culinary service products. Explaining how he sources his carving wood, process, and describing the finishing oil he uses for his products. My wife and I were so impressed with his products, we visited two consecutive days to buy different items. The second day we returned with friends who also left with purchases. Since our visit in April, we have shared our Galena Spoon Company experience with other friends who later visited the shop and returned home with cherished items.

Great shop with unique, handmade items
Nice little shop with friendly and helpful owner. Truly unique shop where much of the merchandise is hand made by the owner. Also had several hand made cutting boards.
