Talk about what libraries need to do and be to survive, this one is a great example. Of course it has the basics and then some. The areas are broken into sections nicely and organized efficiently. The staff is first rate the best. Then during the year there is always something special that forces you to come back.

Surprisingly Very Impressive
Amazing library. Needed to go here to renew my passport and was shocked how beautiful and well stocked this building. Worthy of visiting just for historical or general interest purposes.

A Treasure in Elgin!
Gail Borden Library is a treasure in Elgin. It is a beautiful, open, state-of-the-art facility. It is probably the most used and visited facility in downtown Elgin. It is located in a beautiful spot along the Fox River. An impressive, contemporary facility!
