Interesting place to visit
My wife and I had not been here for over 50 years. We went for a drive to get out of the house during the COVID-19 lockdown. We were surprised to find that they had just opened the Fort for visitors. The museum and other sites within the fort were not open, but the front gates to the fort were open and you could walk around and get the experience of life there about 300 years ago. We really enjoyed our limited visit.

Old French fort
This was a neat reconstructed fort from early American history, dating prior to the American Revolution. There are plenty of free parking spaces, no cost (donations suggested in the museum), and sometimes host events from what I read. I was the only person there the day I went and had plenty of time to stroll around. The museum is small but has lots of information and items about the period.

Well done reconstruction of a stone fort
Well worth the visit. Nice picture taking opportunities. Good map in a nice museum detailing everything. A friendly groundskeeper explained the site to us and did a great job. One caution, do not go in heat of summer. Very little shade and even the museum AC will not keep up. Also the site is now a mile from the river, so no scenic views.
