This vineyard and winery is enchanting and regionally authentic. The owners grow only cold climate grapes which make for a very unique and distinct flavour in heir product. From the cozy aesthetic they have to the service they provide, it's worth the stop..... every other day.

Great Wine
Went there this past Friday for the 3rd time. Sampled some wonderful wines then had a glass with my also wonderful husband on the patio. Great atmosphere and equally great people there.

Relaxing at a local winery
Recently went to visit Famous Fossil Winery in Freeport, Illinois with some friends. We did the wine tasting. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Even got to try some rhubarb wine! Quite good tasting. Then we went to the Sunday afternoon guitar playing event in their covered shelter. We were allowed to bring in food, so we split a bottle of wine and had a picnic. Sitting there looking out over the vineyards on a sunny, breezy afternoon. Almost felt as if we were in Europe! Wine, fruit, cheese, crackers and gentle folk songs. Nice relaxing venue.
