well maintained, attractive, and marked roads/sections
So, the way we found the cemetery on some city roads it was by chance and by map because we didn't see any signs directing us to the gate. But once inside we were pretty impressed. I'd call it attractive, but not quite 5 star beautiful, as landscaping was very practical with some flourishes here and there. We wanted to find the Adlai Stevensons and they were easy by the gate with some signage. We used the map provided near the gate and Dorothy Gage garden / pet cemetery to find some other famous interred. But we never found Dorothy herself, maybe her stone gets stolen or repaired alot? The famous have plaques by the road to read and there's a great memorial tree carving to a plane accident crash that happened during an event inside the grounds after WWII. We were kind of in a rush but could have spent much more time walking around, even with no relatives here ourselves, it's the kind of place with all sorts of styles of gravemarkers, with the long history (since 1820!) due a settlement like Bloomington.

Beautiful and peaceful
The cemetery is right off the Constitution Trail so a nice extra ride or walk. Some famous folks are now resting there among the trees. Be sure to plan to attend the Walk in the fall to enjoy short stories by costumed residents.
