Evergreen Cemetery has been providing services to the community since 1910. For more than a century, our commitment has remained unchanged, yet our services have always responded to the changing needs of the community. When Evergreen Cemetery was first established, it was built as a memorial park, and the natural beauty of a park-like setting still exists in the Knollwood, Spring Grove and Edgewood Gardens sections. As time passed, changing with the needs of the community, upright monuments were allowed, and gardens were developed with shrubs and private hedges to create the serene environment surrounding the upright memorials. Cypress Grove, Fairmount and Lawnview gardens, among others, incorporate the diversity of beautiful monuments, varied in size, color and shape, each one expressing a unique and individual personal tribute to each family they represent. Evergreen Cemetery offers gardens with gently sloping hills nestled within a wooded array of colorful foliage and trees. Cedar Hill, Maple Grove Gardens, Acacia and Forest Hill are just a few of the gardens that have many unique qualities to meet the diverse needs for individuals selecting that special place, the place that will be home for their family members for time eternal. Evergreen Cemetery has a wide array of options to fit your needs. We offer areas dedicated to veterans – our field of honor – and to churches, including St Nicholas and Monument of Faith, among others, as well as a section honoring the Patron Saint Guadalupe. Evergreen Cemetery is dedicated to supporting and honoring our community, and we are the proud home of the new Gatekeepers section with a monument dedicated to icons of the community, including Reverend Clay Evans, Apostle RD Henton, Reverend Willie T. Barrow, Father George Clements and others. Evergreen Ce...
