There for the campground
While on a trip to North Carolina, we scheduled a stay here for a few night. The campground is within the park. It is very small. Not a hung number of sites, but the park this time of year is very green. Thanks to all the rain. The roads and pads are all asphalt. Green grass and plenty of tall shade trees throughout. Close to the Ohio River. We arrived during the week and the campground was empty until the weekend we left. Then it filled up. It and been a rainy week and with Covid, the pool was closed and the park was pretty empty. The only knock I can give the campground was it close proximity to a small maintenance yard. Early in the morning there would be a couple vehicles coming in and out. The best part was The Chocolate Factory was right across the street from the park entrance.

Camping at Dixon Springs
Nice but Wow! Narrow narrow campsites. We have a 30 foot with two slides and could not open our awning and only one inch avail on the sides! Very hard to navigate. We had 23 and that was tight and they all our. If you have a smaller camper or tent camp you’d be ok. Pool is closed and I think perm. For covid . Best part was trip to Cave In Rock. Good little hike. And great breakfast at the visitors center! Cheap and order the hash browns with onions and cheddar! Golfed are Hardin Golf Course. Harder than it looks and cheap too!
