A small zoo but a giant petting zoo
A great little zoo filled with loved and well cared for animals. There were Llamas, goats, sheep, ponies, mini donkies, cows, fox, coyotes, some chickens, guinea hogs, owls, rabbits and some birds. Place has excellent facilities you can also book for events. The Animals are friendly and expect to be petted. We went there for pumpkin Fest and there were some carnival rides for kids. This place is small but uncrowded. Very beautiful. People who go here wear masks when indoors and when there's a crowd. Very respectful people. There is also a Cafe and gift shop. You can bring your own food. Lots of benches and picnic places. Buy tickets online. We bought at the parking lot because there isn't much room for entry as it only gives you 15 minutes grace period in your timed entry. Plenty of parking.

Nice small zoo
During this December 2020 you need to make a reservation to enter. The cost is free as they are selling Christmas trees. If you go at around 4:30 PM , you will see a few animals. As it gets dark you can walk through a path to see Christmas lights. We spent about 20 minutes there and enjoyed everything.

Best little zoo in Chicago area
Fantastic exhibits native wildlife with some exotic so but the focus is definitely on Illinois animals. The Passion of this facility with all of the keepers and staff is amazing and they keep meticulous exhibits caring for these animals in extraordinary ways. This is a perfect place to come especially when you have small children that have short attention spans it doesn't take long to get through the whole zoo but it is absolutely worth every minute that you're there. There are so many hands on experiences and behind the scenes that it makes the zoo so much different than others.
