Nice smaller park

This is really a neat and quaint little roadside park along the Great River Road. I have never seen any trash or uncut grass upon.

Relaxing place on river
The park is a great place to just sit back enjoy the river view. It’s also a great place to stop if biking on the the bike trail and have lunch or a snack and just take a rest. Usually not too busy and safe area.

La Vista Park, Godfrey, IL
We love La Vista Park! It is a Legacy Park as the land has been donated to Godfrey Township. It is very well-used and appreciated by people of all ages and dogs on leashes. The asphalt trail is well-maintained. There is a large parking area at the top of the trail just off Route 3 in Godfrey, about a mile East of Clifton Terrace. The trail goes about a mile downhill from Route 3 to the Mississippi River. We walk there regularly, sometimes walking downhill and then back uphill, or parking at the bottom and walking uphill first, then downhill. There are large fields on both sides of the parking area and we cross-country ski there in the winter when it snows. The Park is a great gift to Godfrey!
