The Children's Museum in Oak Lawn's mission is to positively impact a child's potential in life through play-based education. Every program and every exhibit at the Children's Museum is created with the Common Core standards (formerly the Illinois Learning Standards) at their core. These are the same standards that the Illinois Board of Education requires local school districts to use.

Perfect for Children of all abilities
Love the OL Children's Museum and our family membership goes a long way. The staff is pleasant and the children have the ability to be creative while learning through play and fun! We go here at least once a month. We hosted multiple birthday parties for our daughters here and everyone liked the location, parking, convenience, and facility. Children over 10yrs old may not find it as appealing but toddlers and younger children love it!

Best membership we own
With the inconsistent Chicago weather, this by FAR is our best membership we own. Staff does its best to clean up after 3-7 year olds. Probably more suited for those under 7.
