A Memorial about a Tragedy.

The Cherry Mining Disaster is an event that I don't think many people know about. I ran across this on a Only in Your State type website and decided to stop by and check it out on my roadtrip. I've now read up a little on the event online. It sure doesn't seem like a place this would happen when you stop by now, but it was a different landscape 100+ years ago. There is a memorial at the cemetery and another in town.
