First family shooting outing
We are Illinois' largest public, outdoor range located right in Ottawa. Our doors opened in 1970 and since then we have expanded into 10 different ranges, firearms sales, gunsmiths on site and a complete gun shop. A single entrance fee gets you access to all the ranges, all day- NO MEMBERSHIP required. Stay all day and enjoy lunch at The Buffalo Grill Friday-Sunday. Take advantage of our $25 transfers on firearm purchases and a large selection of firearms- for sale and for rent. From guns, ammo, targets, clothing, scopes, clays and more; our Gear Shop has everything you need for a great range day. We always offer an admission discount for our brave military and law enforcement officers. We are open all year. Our ranges include a .22 plinking range, multiple pistol & trap ranges. First family shooting outing
Family of 4 on rifle shooting. First time for my youngest at 9 and second time for my 11 year old. Both liked it very much. We saw other families with tween girls and overall very nicely run place. The service at the front counter was friendly and efficient. The range officers were courteous. Other patrons at the range were safe, orderly and respectful of the rules. There was a food truck there selling some hot sandwiches. Some were picnicking at the tables in the shade. We saw another family was grilling there, so it seems like a good place to hang around.

Great time at the range.....
A few of us from work had gotten together and went out to the Buffalo Range Shooting Park for a great time together and do some shooting. Very nice range, great staff, and most importantly we a safe and good shooting experience. A few thought the safety approach was a bit much although you really have to have a hard line in the sand when it comes to safety. They have it and there is a very good reason for it. Great time with family and friends!
