If you visit Grafton, taking a trip across Brussels Ferry is a rite of passage. It’s a family tradition that never disappoints. Seeing your children’s eyes light up when you take them on their first family outing across the river is priceless. Time and time again their enthusiasm will never waiver, I promise you. Park and walk along the deck for an uplifting experience that your family will thank you for every time. The ride doesn’t end at the bank. Brussels is captivating with plenty more to do. Even if all you decide to do is drive around on the hills for what my kids call the “tummy tickles”. Enjoy!

    Great experience!
I didn’t even know the St. Louis region even had these. It didn’t cost anything even though there were signs indicating cost. I am not sure if there wasn’t a charge because of COVID or not. An interesting experience!

    Great Experience!
My wife, my wife's sister, her husband and I make an annual pilgrimage to the Whittmond Hotel Restaurant from the Pere Marquette Lodge to have dinner at the Whittmond Hotel while "eagle watching" at the confluence of the Illinois River and the Mississippi River. In order to get there we must take the Brussels Ferry. It's fun, it's easy, and it's a well run operation. We like it, and enjoy the short ride across the river.
