scrumptious!!!!
update to my May, 2020 review: To order lunch in advance, go to the website and click on the calendar. The weekly menu will pop up. Disposable utensils and napkins are included. This week's vegan lunches were OUTSTANDING -- beautifully presented, flavourful, and healthy.

delicious vegan and vegan/ gluten free meals
Please don't shoot the messenger, but according to the Temple calendar, the delicious Lunch-to-Go program ended for the year this month. I won't torture you by telling you how fabulous the last one was (especially the "homemade tomato sauce",' which sounds average but turned out to be one of the best things I've ever tasted. ever.) I will simply encourage you to participate when the program resumes next year. Please read my earlier reviews (May 5, 2020 and September 5, 2020) for more details.

traditional Sri Lakan meals to go
The mission of the Center/Temple is to promote individual peace of mind, compassion for all beings, spiritual growth, and an ethical way of life based on Buddhist principles. Until the COVID 19 restrictions are lifted and the Temple can reopen for classes, meditation, etc., the monks are preparing vegan Sri Lakan box lunches every Saturday for carryout between 12 and 1:00 p.m. ($10 for one box, $36 for 4, $72 for 8 -- ordered and paid for in advance.) The typical menu is: - Yellow rice - Beetroot curry with potatoes - Coconut sambol (relish) - Dal (lentil) curry - Pumpkin curry - Cabbage mallum (mix) - Murukku and chips (a crunchy snack) If you plan to picnic (perhaps in nearby Woodstock Square), bring your own napkins, silverware and beverages.
