Great Fun Place

Nice band on the patio on a Saturday evening which they do often. Bartender was awesome, wine slushies were tops. Great little bar.

Great Wines in a Beautiful Location
My wife and I just spent a weekend in Nauvoo. We stayed at the Grand Nauvoo B & B directly across the street from Baxter Vineyards. Even in the cold off-season, the area is beautiful with vineyards and open fields surrounding the property. The tasting room is very inviting and, in addition of course to the wonderful wines, offers wire-related gifts and local treats including cheese, sausage, jams, candies and other things. The wines run the gamut from dry local varietals to sweeter fruit wines. My wife and I like dry reds, and the Norton, Riverbend Red and Nauvoo Red were all very good. The current winemaker represents the fifth generation of the Baxter family's operation of the winery, and this depth of experience and knowledge shows in the wines. Baxter Vineyards is a must visit if you are in the Nauvoo/Keokuk area.

    Hmmm
The pizza was pretty good, the customers were very nice, the service was good, but we love wine, and ordered a bottle, and it was very vinegary. Like it may have been spoiled. We told the waitress, and we were still charged for the bottle. We only had about 4 sips. I kind of expected they cut the wine off of the bill, or 1/2, or something. She was kind, but we paid and left.
