Amazing view
Saw the cross at a distance and decided to check it out. Very happy that we did. Beautiful view and reading the history of the cross. Stopped by the gift shop - very sweet ladies working there. Met with some friends later in the day and found out that when he was in college he played at the Easter sunrise service - sounded beautiful.

Extensive woodland views.
We stopped here on our day trip from O'Fallon, IL to Sikeston, MO. While most of our drive was through corn and bean fields with small woods in the background, up here its forest as far as one can see. Very bold cross compared to the Ft. Jefferson Memorial.

A Unique Site Off The Beaten Path
We had a little time to kill passing through this area on vacation & took the recommendation of a colleague to check out the Bald Knob Cross of Peace. The drive to it was very pretty - this is a beautiful area for nature lovers. The cross was an impressive structure. The visitors area / gift shop was organized, clean, and informative. The woman working was so kind & engaged with our young children (ages 4 & 6) to help them understand & appreciate some of the history of the site. The scenic views were very nice. Overall, this is a nice place to stop to stretch, see something interesting & unique, and appreciate nature’s beauty.
