AMC Lake In The Hills 12, Illinois, United States

4.5 (64 reviews) Spent Ranking #1 in Lake in the Hills Movie Theaters

Movie Night!

Great place to go with the family or even a date night. We use the AMC app and choose our seats on the go. When we get there we are able to scan right in and then pop over some treats and popcorn. Once in the theater seating is very good and you reserve your seats. The place is nice and comfy. You can even bring a blanket if you want to really snuggle down.

    Very Nice Theater
The AMC is well run and for the most part there is not a lot of riff-raft hanging around this theater. Great seating and a full service bar in the lobby. Can't ask for more than that.

Only a "4" today, because of their ticketing and seat selection
We chose the AMC Lake in the Hills 12, as the movie time worked out for us there, especially since we were only coming from Algonquin. I, along with my 2 year old granddaughter, a 5 year old grandson and 5 year old granddaughter and 12 year old grandson, picked "incredibles 2". We were at the first showing during the day at noon, but when we got to the ticket counter, we were told that the only seats left together were in the very first "A" row in auditorium #1. The problem is that there were a lot of multiple open seats available, and I can't believe that people paid for the seats and didn't appear for the movie. Be sure to get a "Stubs" card, as it will help lower the total price, especially, if you can't go on Tuesdays. The seats fully recline and are far too comfortable, as it might take work to stay awake. As far as the movie, I must admit that I thought that it was a bit to intense or violent, and that the plotline was pretty complex for younger kids. Oh, and the movie was 2 hrs. and 6 minutes, not counting previews.
