Zebras in the midwest??!! YES!! Aikman Wildlife Adventure is a wildlife sanctuary located in Arcola, Illinois. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of life possible to all wildlife in need, while maintaining a family friendly environment through interaction, education, conservation and by creating an experience of a lifetime for all our guests. Come out to enjoy 200 animals and 75 different species! Drive through our park in your own vehicle to see all of our bigger animals, then take a stroll in our Walk-Thru to visit our small animals, predators, and petting zoo. If you love animals and are ready for an adventure of a lifetime, come out and see for yourself why our place is so unique and special! Hours vary depending on weather.

Amazing and unique animal adventure
My son and his grandpa are obsessed with animals and their birthdays are 2 days (and a few years ) apart, so we drove 3 hours each way to take them to this very special place last weekend. We did the behind the scenes adventure and it was awesome! We were introduced to all the animals by their cute names and learned a lot about each. My son and his little brother (age 7 & 3) loved feeding the animals on the safari and at the petting zoo. The grownups also loved learning all about the history of the place from one of the owners and our guide, James. Such a great story! It was well worth the drive and price, and I very highly recommend it! My son was jumping up and down!

A glimpse of heaven
I cannot say enough about this experience. The staff are always smiling and willing to help you. The entire facility is well thought out, easy to navigate and very clean. We purchased the behind the scenes tour and it was perfect! Our tour guide was awesome! I went with my partner and 3 teens. As we know, teens are not easily amused and are not easily phased. However, they were in awe from minute one and have described the experience as the best or one of the best experiences of their life. My partner was also very happy with their experience as well as the prices of the items and tour in general. Cannot say enough about this place and our experience. GET THE BEHIND THE SCENES TOUR!
