Gorgeous garden
This is the most historical castle you must visit when in Paris. The location is a bit far from Paris. We called uber to get to the castle from Paris and it took us about 45 mins. The castle is beautiful and has a rich history of the King Louis and their family history. I highly recommend to go there but make sure to wear a comfortable shoes because once you are done with the castle you will go outside to the garden where you have to walk a long distance to get to other areas of the garden. Its a beautiful garden that is a must to see. Only bad thing was about visiting this castle no AC or ventilation inside. Since we visited in September it was very humid and another bad thing about it is that you go inside in a line and you enter each room with the whole line of people and you must walk and follow the line/others. Its like narrow rooms and must be seen quickly so the rest of the people can get in to the room so you must leave and walk quickly when inside the castle. But once outside you can breathe and enjoy the beauty of Versailles!

I enjoyed the experience, but wouldn't go in the Summer!
My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting. The time of year meant that there were not too many other people and even though the rooms sometimes got busy, it never felt unmanageable. I would recommend that you download the Versailles app before you go and take a pair of headphones, as the audio guide really gives you context to all the rooms. Please note that once you leave the inside of the palace, you cannot go back in, so make sure that you see everything you want to see before you leave! We were fortunate enough to be told this by a member of staff. The gardens are vast, so bring comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot walking. We went to Angelina’s for food and enjoyed the Mount Blac dessert and the sandwiches. We didn’t eat in as it was very busy. If you want to eat here, I recommend that you pre-book in advance. The toilets were not well kept. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and would recommend that if you are in Paris and able to go, that you do so. It was good to learn about the history of the Palace. We would recommend that you avoid the summer months like the plague as I can imagine it being overcrowded and too busy.
