    Nice Stroll
My wife, 20 year old daughter, 18 year old son, and myself were in Paris recently and we strolled the Champs-Elysees. It was a nice "stroll" since it started at the Toulilaries. There were plenty of shops to walk in and out of. My wife and daughter went back the following day and did some shopping and actually saw the President of France at the Arch. Believe it or not the funnest thing we did was eat at the McDonald's. Eating McDonald's isn't quite the same as it is here in the U.S. the menu has similarities and many difference which made it all the more fun. My son was on a mission to try as many different things he could, I'm not really quite sure what type of burger he had, but he said he enjoyed it. What made it a hoot was the drink choice, he chose a Heinekin beer. I joined him with it. He had never tried beer before and the look on his face when he tried it was priceless. He most definitely did NOT like it :-). My daughter didn't like her burger so we traded. I like it, not really sure what was on it. The desserts were yummy. I do recommend at least stop in and take a look at the McDonald's, it was fun and they do have a nice outdoor eating section although you have to get your food first since they won't let you sit unless you have the food.

    Not as elegant as expected!
We walked several times as our hotel was nearby. Our first walk was nice as it was all new to us . The Arc de Triomphe is beautiful and majestic . We’ll worth the walk. The avenue in general has a less than grand feel. There are women laying on the sidewalks holding out cups for coins. Very sad and while I don’t know for sure, it’s very suspicious that someone placed them there. There are the occasional street “ shows” that are found on large city streets. The trees and buildings lining the street are beautiful. I’m sure the apartments are VERY expensive and I doubt the residents appreciate if all the activities lining the grand avenue. The cafes are all about average as well as McDonalds and Five guys which did not lend to the atmosphere. I would do it once and that’s it!.
