Beautiful scenery

Although this is not a very huge lake, the scenery is beautiful and very idyllic. There are also properly maintain walking trail where you can walk around the lake. The surrounding is clean and quiet. A good place to visit.

Good in Temperate Weather
Walked the loop in March and it was a very pleasant afternoon. Lots of birds to keep an eye out for. Interesting to see the allotments on the way around.

A short walk around the lake on a hot day
We were staying at the Lake Shore Hotel, which is not actually on the lake shore, about 400 meters away. The lake has a lovely bridge which takes you to the small island. The paths are a little overgrown but that may be because the vegetation grows quickly. There is, what looks like, a disused cafe on the side of the lake. A swimming pontoon and a few monuments, plenty of places to sit and take in the views. There are fish in the lake and lots of plants which float about with lovely purple flowers on. Would I go again? Probably not but worth a look.
