Best whitewater trip ever
I’m 61 and have done a bunch of whitewater trips over the years, including the Grand Canyon, all the canyons of the Rio Grande in TX, New River in WV, West Canyon in Utah, the Oconee in TN and a bunch I can’t remember. Six Mile beats them all. It has big features, sweet canyons, and is very technical, not to mention completely gorgeous. Scott and the guys at Flow AK are beyond expert and professional — the best I’ve ever encountered. The dry suits we were provided were the best I have ever seen, and they definitely kept the cold and the water out. Our small group worked on safety and working together, then we had fun! A terrific trip. I’m so glad I found the right company.

Highlight of our trip to Alaska!!!
Flow AK was an amazing outfit. They customized the trip to fit our family. It was me (mom) with 3 kids, aged 13, 14 and 14. Scotty was awesome getting us fitted into our suits before we left in the van. Scotty was also just really nice and made me and my kids feel very at ease. At every step, they addressed any safety concern we had and made sure we were comfortable and ready for the white water rafting experience. Not just safety, but they also ensured the experience was fun and exciting! Mike did an awesome job of helping all the kids feel reassured of their abilities and talking us through decision points about who would continue rafting and who wanted to come out of the water. Mike also shared lots of information with us about the rock formations, avalanches and which flowers were edible. Before the end of the experience, the guides had shared lots of good puns, dad jokes and even bear stories- which are pretty exciting for us Texas folks!! Mike, Scotty, Christie and Devon made this unforgettable!!! By way of comparison, we went kayaking with icebergs at Spencer glacier earlier in the week, but white water rafting with Flow AK was the absolutely highlight and favorite part of my trip to Alaska!!!
