Beautiful in end-winter
Trekking in the snow to see Jirou-ko and Tarou-ko was a memorable experience. It was a tough trek for us newbies but the view was worth the effort. Going in early-April allowed us to see some parts of the lake still frozen which was so beautiful when set against the backdrop of the green trees and forest ground still covered in snow. I'd love to visit again in a different season. To trek here, register with the Akan Tourist Information Center.
