pretty cool place to visit.
It is about two hours each way from Zhengzhou, but the place is a must see. Totally worth the drive and the visit.

Interesting!
Ticked another item off my bucket list! Heard about the Yellow River but never visited before, also my first ride in a hovercraft, which was a plus! Also a chance to ride a horse on the banks of the river, or even try the quad bikes!

Worth a visit, if you are in Zhengzhou
Take the number 16 bus from the main railway station; you can get on at later stops (Nanyang Lu) but you probably won't get a seat in the summer and it's quite a long way. The cost is 5 RMB pay on entry as per normal city buses or with your city bus/metro card also. The entrance fee is 60 RMB which is fairly pricey but the area is vast and there's plenty to do for example:- ride a horse; visit the peacock farm; take a boat; go on the cable car; slide down the embankment; walk in sculptured gardens areas; eat in the restaurants; enjoy a BBQ and hire bikes. As long as the pollution isn't bad that day you'll get some stunning photos of the river and the rail/road crossings.
