Nice river promenade
From here you get the most picturesque views of Heilongjiang and Russia across the river. Most of the landmarks are located on the promenade. There is also a beer garden where you can drink beer, and order stir-fried dishes and barbecue food.

See Russia from here!
Well, if you can't actually go to Russia, seeing it from across the river is the next best thing. The park that makes up the island and along the shoreline before crossing over to the island makes for a nice walk. The river that surrounds the island is called the Amur in Russian, but it's the Heilong in Chinese and it is for this river that Heilongjiang Province in China is named (Heilong = black dragon; jiang = river).
