Nice nature but extremely bad hotel
If you want to have some time out of Beijing,this is a great place to go. Beautiful nature, opportunity for horse riding, quad driving, hiking,.. And there are not too many people. Big disadvantage: we even booked one of the most expensive hotels onsite: Bashang Gu shi jun ma chang. The quality of service and infrastructure there is extremely bad. Impolite reception, very dirty shower and bath room. You feel like better not use or touch anything. They even ran out of drinking water in their shop. Even all Chinese tourists complained and planned to not come back again. And the suite costs more than 1.000RMB per night. Real value is below 200RMB. If you really want to relax, you better try to find another accomodation.

Its ok, nothing special
As with anything in china, if there is a potential to make money from, then - hell. Yes, lets make money from it! If you come from a country that has its fair share of natural habitat, then you might ask yourself, why pay to see some nature? On top of that, its fairly overrun with domestic tourists, that litter everywhere and shout into their mobil phones, when not taking pictures of themselves or getting drunk whilst belching out songs to KTV.
