Worth the visit; will shock, awe and amaze
This is the most amazing museum, really. A beautiful and innovative architecture by any standard that was built to protect and display the world's largest collection of Yiddish works, woven around the history of their times. An amazing experience for anyone of any religion and especially in the current xenophobic political administration and climate, important to be reminded of protecting our diverse cultures and importance of inclusiveness.

Hoping to return soon
For years I've been wanting to come here and finally did today. The Yiddish Book Center far surpassed my expectations. I had no idea it offered so many fabulous programs, had such an astonishing repository of Yiddish books and was collecting them from all over the world, not just the United States. The staff I met was incredibly knowledgeable and it was thrilling to see very young people working there, demonstrating that Yiddish indeed lives on. The grounds and building are remarkable as they recreate the feeling of the shtetl. Rows and rows of Yiddish books, periodicals and magazines are everywhere, carefully preserved and treated with respect. Can't wait to go back!
