Visitor-friendly rainforest park

Well organized. Nice walking pathways through the rainforest jungle. Lots of beautiful scenery and tropical plants. Valley views from the glass bridge.

An enjoyable afternoon in a beautiful forest
We just did the walking trails, not the glass bridge - a very pleasant afternoon in a lovely forest environment, suitable for all ages. The so-called wetland area is very pretty and there is a lovely pond near the tea drinking arbour. Pathways are enjoyably random. Some good views from the bus which takes you up to the park. Reasonable food court at the entrance, even got a decent coffee in Dicos! Worth a visit but don't expect a wilderness or silence!

Rainforest Experience in a Cool Climate
This place is basically a Rainforest made into a themed tourist attraction. Largely designed and made for mainland tourists who have not seen or experienced a rain forest. I myself come from the tropics and rain forest is basically what I grew up in -especially having been in the service spending a lot of time crawling around the rainforests of South East Asia. So, I was a bit sceptical about seeing anything interesting. This was part of our tour's itinerary while at Sanya. From Sanya city, it was about 2hrs bus ride. Once arrived we were met by the park's own guide who brought us around. The guide was in chinese - not sure if they have an English speaking guide. The guide was quite friendly and informative to describe to us about the aboraginal history of the site. The tour starts by taking a bus to the top of the hill. At the start, you can choose to do the zip line which i do recommen to zip across the rain forest as an experiance. For most folks, this may seem a boring tour of just plants - hence the main reason for my 3 stars as it probably wont be worth for most to take a bus ride all the way here to see a rain forest. But, for me, it was nice to be able to walk through a rain forest in this cooling weather. There are some tourist traps along the way like they out a parrot on your shoulder and you have to pay 20RMB for taking photos on your mobile - we did as rhe kids wanted to hold the parrots. We honestly did not mind as this is not uncommon in asia. Overall its a nice place if you are a nature lover. probably the coolest way to see a rain forest. and a good place to take photos.
