    Mall and evening activities
We were here in the evening and there was a lot of people having dinner and enjoying their evenings here. It's especially nice for families with kids as there is a lot of kid's activities, including games and moving robots you can ride. There is some street food including real coconuts, boba, ice cream, and more restaurants all around. There's a stage in the center and some live music and dance performance. The front row seats require paying for an overpriced restaurant, but you can just watch from the second floor. There's also a small-medium sized grocery store upstairs. Like everything else in Yalong Bay, it is overpriced for China but it's at bargain price compared with other tropical destinations like Hawaii. Besides your hotel/resort, this is probably the best nearby place to go and you're not obligated to buy anything. It's easy to find a taxi here too.

Go and visit the seashell museum!
The beach here is nice but since we stayed at a resort near by, we are spoiled by the private beach at the hotel. I took my boys here to see the seashells and they loved it. The entrance for the square is 50 rmb per adult and free for children under 1.3 m. The seashell museum is free after paying the entrance at the gate. There is a gift shop at the end of the museum where my boys bought a big shell each as a souvenir. It is more expensive than the market right next to the beach but there is more selection at the gift shop.
