Pro : nice work out for claming the moutain, lots of greenery to see, the main attraction is still the centre of the Volcano Con: dont fall off the staps, the staircase is very uneven some are huigher the others, so please be aware of it the other thing is dont fall for free photo shooting ( you may ends up buying thing that you dont need) lastly if you can arrange for your own transport

Educational and exercise
Beautifully landscaped. Educational trip all about volcanoes. Beautiful butterflies. Strange and fantastic lava formation sculptures. Good exercise all the way to the top of the crater. Breath taking view of Haikou from the top all the way to mainland. The crater can be entered by steep steps. The restaurants offer mountain goat, chicken and boar meat with mountain coffee beans. Good walking shoes needed. Worth every effort to reach the top.

Volcanoless Volcano
It's located pretty far from Haikou city, to reach it first you need to go to the Haikou South Bus Station, from there cross the road then take a blue bus that leads you to the place (Yes you need to be able to converse in chinese to ask for which bus). after they drop you in an intersection, try to get the local transportation module, the three-wheeled bus, which will take you to the front of the area. the ticket is around 60 yuan. within the area is marvelous and well cared. beautiful natural and man-made scenery, cultural buildings, and even a beautiful koi pond. make sure you have the energy to reach the top of the mountain, which from there you can view the city of Haikou from afar, and even the sleeping volcano crater.
