I can’t believe this place isn’t always packed! Forget the other two spots to get groceries within a half a mile. I love the bakery, well stocked produce, tons of ready made specialty foods. They cater to more local vendors and has an extensive selection of frozen bait too. Walmart is definitely cheaper but Rouses is not crowded and has everything you need. The staff is friendly and fast as well. I appreciated them being masked.

Family vacation
Great seafood, very helpful staff, reasonable prices. Claudia was excellent helped us find all the items for Spanish dish we were making with some excellent selections of wine. Wished we had a Rouse store in St. Louis.

You Simply Can't Find Better on the Gulf Coast!
There is no competition for Rouses in Lower Alabama. They have a huge selection of produce, seafood and meat, with all the dry goods you would expect of a first class grocery store They are attentive to the issue of Covid-19, and their staff is consistently helpful, responsive, and a pleasure to work with. Their prepared food is really good, and if you want to splurge, their dry aged beef, done in the store, is exceptional. They also have an enormous wine and beer selection to quench your thirst:-)
