Absolutely worth a visit

We visited on a weekday morning. As a family of four, we were offered a discounted family pack admission for $20. We started with museum. Under current COVID-19 restrictions, there are a limited number of people allowed in the small museum. We waited in line a few minutes (10-15) for this. I recommend visiting the museum first in order to have a better appreciation for what you will view in the fort. The history of the site is impressive, though much of it somber. My kids, ages 8 and 11, thoroughly enjoyed exploring the fort. We packed water bottles which were much needed in the summer heat.

    A Surprise!
Had no intention of driving to Fort Morgan, we were just out exploring the area and drove down to the end of the road and there was Fort Morgan. We were totally impressed. Just reading the history, seeing the artifacts, walking along the grounds in awe of this history there...just Wow. As others stated, the views from the top of the Fort were beautiful. There is a charge to get in, but if you are military, for you it is free, and they offer a senior discount also.

    Wonderful trail
We are visiting Gulf Shores for the month of May and staying at Doc's Rv Park which is located right on the trail. We always bring our bikes and so glad we did because this trail is just wonderful. It is nicely paved asphalt that is wide and smooth for riding a bike or walking. We usually split the trail by walking in one direction in the morning and biking the other direction after dinner. This trail is very well maintained and the people here are the friendliest anywhere.
