    The Best of Panyu
This resort is worth the trip but please note that you can only visit between 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Make sure you bring good shoes and expect to walk lots. The area is quite varied with the ancient rock quarry, large variety of lotus plants, Buddhist temple and Chinese zodiac decorations. The scenery is wonderful and the air is pleasant. One of the unexpected surprises was a little shop that sold honey and honey confections like buns and ice cream.

    Do not expect nature tracks
Just returned from a trip to the Lotus Mountain and I would like to correct a few things from the previous reviews that I found to be not entirely right. Reaching the site is quite easy: in front of the Shiqi metro station there is a bus stop for buses number 92 and 93. Take either one to the end stop (the price is 2 yuan regardless of the destination). The ride will take around 10-15 minutes. The end stop is located on a main way where you can see on both sides a countless series of incences shops and street sellers. From that point on, there are indications on how to find the entrance: if walking straight for about 200m and turning right you will find the West Gate. The admission fee is 40 yuan per person, but some attractions are not included, for example: Lotus Pagoda (2 yuan), Eagle Tunnel and Cliff (1 yuan)... There are a few elite restaurants in the park and some food sellers, but prices are awfully high (7 yuan for a bottle of water, 5-12 yuan for an ice-cream), so bringing some snacks and drinks from home is advisable. As for the place in itself, you will see an ancient pagoda and related temple (worth the visit), as well as many carefulyl set up sceneries (very pleasant, but looking so fake). The main reason I decided to visit the Lotus Mountain was actually the quarry site, which proved to be the greatest disappointment. I was expecting nature tracks, but everything is paved there, although there are some nice passageways on the lotus lakes and some spots are actually impressing. Anyway, I have spent a good day and I would recommend a visit.
