Qingyuan Lianzhou Underground River
We went for a trip to Qingyuan and Lianzhou during Easter holidays and visited the Underground River. First we followed the guide going up and down the stairs for the beautiful sight and we have taken a lot of photos. Then we were led by the guide to take a small boat along the underground river and this is a good choice for resting a few minutes after going up and down so many stairs. The whole journey is around 3 hours and it a pleasant but tiring journey.

Underground River Cave Tour
The place is in the middle of nowhere and is accessible by bus. Entrance into the cave consists of walking down at least 400 steps. We then boarded 12 person capacity boats went about 1 mile on the river in the cave. The walls were lit in various colors and there were a number of waterfalls. Exiting the cave, we passed numerous vats that we were told contained rice wine being fermented. Overall, a nice trip but I wish we stayed at the nearby town rather than riding a tr and bus for over 10 hours.

Colourfully Cool
I visited here has part of a school trip - the staff and students loved it. The cave lighting in delightfully tacky but the natural beauty of the caves could still been seen. There are many steps down into the cave and within the cave, take it slow and steady, enjoy the beauty. A cheesy photo opportunity is available at the reflection pools. Get your photo taken and collect a key tag for your free gift at the end. If you are with a group, get more than one photo taken. They only print on key tag per photo taken. The boat ride at the end is fun, but you'll need a translator, no one speaks English.
