Best Evening Walk
The Jiuqu Bridge is best visited in the evening. It cuts across West Lake and offers fabulous views of both sides of the lake. Chinese Lunar New Year is a great time to cross the bridge as you will be able to enjoy the illuminated stationary floats along the lakeshore from the middle of the lake. Beware, it gets very crowded during CNY and other holiday times. There are steps to climb, so be prepared, but fully worth crossing the lake via the bridge.
