Guangdong’s most beautiful, calm, dark-green water, and peaceful lake. This is a conservation area and very scenic. The lake is surrounded by magnificent and abundant colourful flora, fauna, mountains, and the sound of birds from the forest areas. We very much enjoyed our boat ride on the peaceful waters and through the refreshing air.

Major Lake with Fresh Air and Picturesque Landscape in Zhaoqing
About 18 kilometers from downtown Zhaoqing, is is a 4A-class tourist attraction, ticket price is RMB 76, namely around USD 11. Chinese name is 肇庆鼎湖山. Choose the Bus No.3 is a good choice. Get off at the stop of Ding Hu Keng Kou (鼎湖坑口), and you arrive at the spot, only RMB 2. If by a taxi, will cost about USD 8 from downtown. Get to there early in the morning, enjoy the first fresh air and dew there, excellent.

Yes it’s nice, boat trip a joke
The water is trielt pure and has a nice blue color. For people never been in Jiuzhaigou or similar spots surely an amazing thing. The boat trip to the butterfly farm... ok it’s 35RMB per person but it’s literally just 150m trip - that’s it! Then you can go in a small butterfly house to see a few of them and either take the boat back or (and I recommend that) walk your way back. It’s a nice short hike but might be a bit slowed down by old or slowly tourists. Don’t try to go from the other side. It’s a one-way path and even it’s working for you I’m the beginning (yes I tried it), the will stop you at some point because the last 20% is really narrow and you cannot Pass the people.
