Lot's of fun with the family
I had a family weekend with my family in law. We had a really good time driving around the countryside and seeing the sites around Groningen and Lauwersoog. Beautiful landscape and nice sites such as the tea museum the Gardens of the Borg Verhildersum and the Seal Rehabilitation Center in Pieterburen.

Good place to visit
Lauwersoog is a good place to visit if you are in the northern part of Friesland, particularly if you do a circuit of Lauwersmeer lake. It is possible to cycle right round the lake in an afternoon. Lauwersoog has some excellent cafes and shops.

Interesting place
This was a stop on a long cycle ride round Lauwersmeer, and an interesting place. there is a huge cafe, and a big shopping outlet as well. The area is beautiful. The ice cream was delicious after all the cycling.
