Excellent visit

An opportunity to be able to visit this building. The information available was quite detailed and I was free to wander around this active place of worship. Guides were available but the timing of my visit did not enable me to take advantage.

    Wonderful artifact of the Groningen Jewish community.
    We checked out the building as part of the World Press Photojournalism Awards display. The display only utilized 2/3 of the ground floor. The building is a wonderful arabesque synogogue modeled on the Great Synogogue in Berlin. A demonstration of the importance of the Sephardic community in the Netherlands prior to the Shoah.

    Interesting.....
    Interesting look into the jewish faith and the 2. WW. Guided tours provide at fixed times of the Day. You Can also walk through on your own. Not all displays are in English. 3 € entrance fee.
