Muzeeaquarium Delfzijl, Groningen Province, The Netherlands
4.0 (49 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #1 in Delfzijl Natural History Museums • Aquariums
Very good and not expensive
The museum itself makes use of a old German war time bunker for keeping the aquarium and its contents at a constant temperature and is a brilliant use of something for which it was not intended. The museum was educational and we found the kids were interested in all aspects of the maritime history. For a small museum it is well worth the entrance fee and we found the man in charge to be very helpful and interesting to speak to, as really on a Sunday there is not much open to help tourists. He guided us to Appingden which was a wonderful place to eat outside in the sunshine. Unfortunately we was unable to get parked anywhere near to the Folk Festival that he had recommended to us.

Great local aquarium; very friendly staff
I visited muzeeaquarium with my teenage son. We loved the aquarium of the museum. Do not expect any tropical fish. It just shows the sea life of the North Sea. This is exactly why we liked it so much. Really interesting to see the sealife of your own country! The rest of the Museum was not so interesting for us, but the aquarium on its own made the visit worthwhile. Also to be mentioned are the very friendly staff!
