Bird Watching
The location is quite unique, at the utmost point near the border of The Netherlands- Germany. Kiekkaaste is a bird watching hut. From the hut you will see the water birds. What a beauty! You can park the car at the parking place of the "Nieuw Statenzijl" sluice. You need to cross the sluice to go to the Kiekkaaste. There is a walkboard between high reeds all the way to the hut. It's better to visit this place early in the morning as it's an open place and it could be very hot when the sun shine. Not only birds you can find in the area but also insects and flowers.
