    Superb small family brewery
Booked a tour for the Saturday. This is what you get: * very enthusiastic son of the owner who explains beer brewing and the brewery and its process in great detail! * very good tasting blond beer, ale and double * superb tour of the brewery. Great stories about how the printshop turned into brewery and the journey and beer making processes with it. Two highlights: * IBM's Watson calculated what beer is typically Groningen. It's produced at the martinus brewery (nice!) * Martin experiments with lots of flavors. Right now the martinus smokey porter is my favorite. Love it!!! Unfortunately it's not bottled and for sale yet (just the trial batch ready on tap on location only) Very much worth to visit! Good beer flavors and great tour and entertainment.

A Great Story about Wonderful People
Hidden away in a back street behind the police station this building was a family printing business until 2015. In November last year it started to brew beer and it tastes wonderful. The tour tells the family story as well as the brewing process in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. My wife and I were the only English visitors and were taken around by the owner and it happened to be his 61st birthday.
